Nemma

System requirements

Can your PC run Nemma?

Nemma recognizes and translates speech on your own PC, so it needs more than a typical app: enough memory and a graphics card (GPU) for translation. If yours falls short, Pro can translate on a server instead, only if you turn it on.

Good to know

Other graphics cards

AMD, Intel Arc and other GPUs may work, but we haven’t verified them yet. On integrated graphics, typical for thin laptops, translating on the device is usually too slow to keep up.

Slower PCs

Nemma measures your PC on first run. If it can’t keep up, captions lag and the app offers server translation (Pro and the trial), which sends the recognized text — never audio — to Google (Vertex AI). It stays off unless you turn it on.

Video captions Experimental

So far we’ve tested video captions on PCs with NVIDIA graphics. PCs without a GPU are too slow for live captions on the device.

Not sure? Start the 14-day free trial (no card) when Nemma launches — the app checks your PC and tells you what to expect. Nothing is blocked if you’re below the minimum.
